Spirit activism connotes personal growth through an intuitive connection with the cosmic ground. Well-being entails a spiritual core that ties us to the sacred ground of becoming. There are many paths to develop this core. From earth traditions, we learn to engage this aspect of our being in the world through a direct connection with the natural systems that create us. From science, we learn there exists an ever-shifting vitality in the universe that emerges from the quantum field lending itself to creativity and novelty. This vision of the foundational theory of matter makes up the metaphysics of Curist Mind. To understand the ground of reality as the relational shifting that takes place everywhere at once allows us to see complexity as a teleological goal; One where humanity plays a vital role. Developing our higher Self through this Spirit activism provides personal meaning, happiness through resilience, and helps us move towards a sustainable future in society.
Matter is made up of systems (no matter how elemental) built on previously established oscillating patterns we call forces and force-carrying particles at the subatomic realm, and finely tuned systems up to the bioelectro-chemical structures of organic life. In our natural world, there are combinations of systems that lead to synergistic growth that often move towards complexity. The teleological drive takes root in the development of organic life here on earth. Recall that Spirit is eros-imbued energy. That elemental spark of self-interest in maintaining structural integrity leads to the emergence of value for self-preservation. Naturally, as systems become more complex, so do the value-systems that emerge with them; leading up to the social structures that shape us as an intelligent being in the world. But this is where we begin, not where complexity ends. As co-creators of this world, we yield integral agency in how we develop and create our material world. And that agency resides in our own gift to self-actualize and reach our unique potential in life that goes well beyond self-preservation.
Curist Mind promotes a Spirit activism that begins with seeing the world in a different light, allowing for purpose to emerge as we listen closely to what moves us. Through quiet moments, or the simple awareness when we feel the energy rise in us when something feels right, we move into a higher state of being. Each person resonates with a different aspect of nature, of community life, adding to the richness of relationships with the energy we bring forward in our life.
Focusing on personal growth and the development of a collective cosmic consciousness allows us to slow down in our daily lives, to create space for silence which is necessary for us to hear our intuitive voice. Intuition connects us up with the cosmic mind's eye through a Spirit-derived relationship. This represents a collective intelligence between ourselves, our natural environment that is the medium for energetic exchange in our world, and the universal impulse towards novelty and creativity. We are in direct connection to this energetic ground at all times, but certain practices and perspectives allow us to grow our Spirit, increase our energy exchange and create value systems that honor the interconnected aspect of reality that leads to overall wellness. This is but a state that allows us to transcend our natural roots in the earth and expand our vision of our role in this world. Each of us has a role to play in the divine unfolding that is life.
Our world is shifting so quickly that many of us cannot make the time to disconnect and listen to that voice within. We work in overdrive, and on the daily we feel overspent. There is a mental health crisis underpinned by chronic stress, community disengagement, and ultimately a view of reality that is devoid of Spirit. The materialist view of the nature of reality still holds sway. But embracing a dynamic, emergent view of matter and the development of consciousness highlights the sacred ground of becoming, of synergistic growth. I am encouraged by the movement to embrace dynamical systems and complexity theory that moves our technological development through the expansive realm of our mindscapes. I caution against any worldview that does not incorporate the importance of the natural world for our own personal growth & the sustainability efforts for a thriving future for all. In the end, the power of change lies in our agency, in our co-creative stance in the world.
Curist denotes a practitioner status. Someone who uses healing practices to re-balance the haphazard development of human ingenuity. A curist mind incorporates the extensive field of knowledge that humanity has developed over millennia with the wisdom and earth traditions that highlight the fluid and sacred ground of the natural order. Fusing together our most advanced understanding of the fundamental aspects of relational boundaries with practices that allow us to participate in that fluid structure of reality allows us to create meaning and deep connections with various aspects of our environment. When we recognize how important the flow-state is to our mental, physical and spiritual well-being, then we are more likely to make time for those practices or activities that re-energize us, that give us a sense of awe and wonder, and create moments that bring about happiness and holistic well-being.
Curist Mind aims to cure society at the core: to use the metaphysical foundation of healing to bring about synergistic balance in the world. We are part of a magnificent unfolding of creative energy in the universe. We partake in the sacred dance of life. What is most important for mental wellness is creating meaning and happiness for resilience in the face of life's challenges. Focusing on the present moment, as ancient philosopher Epicurus reminds us to do, is one of the principle ways to ensure a healthy dose of energetic grounding. Also, recognizing the importance of mindscapes in the development of cosmic consciousness refocuses our attention to the power of the mind, of our powers of meta-consciousness in the sacred movement of Spirit within the human condition. We generate sacred spaces when we honor the universal principles of life, of synergistic growth that highlights our role as an actualizing force for the universe. A reiterative, sacred stance emerges by which we become part of the divine unfolding of Spirit. Curist mind inspires spirit activism for personal growth and cosmic creativity. Conscientious, creative and curious minds create wellness.
